MARLBOROUGH, MA, March 23, 2007—A leading customer of ArrAy Incorporated has transferred its Shanghai-based development arm to ArrAy. All of the customer's former engineers in its Shanghai development lab are now ArrAy employees, and ArrAy management has trained all of these engineers in the company's ArrAy Way methodology.
The development projects this team was working on are now outsourced to ArrAy, and the team has been relocated and integrated into ArrAy's development center in Shanghai.
"When product development companies try to build their own offshore software engineering operations they face major challenges in management, process and communications," said Charles J. Palmer, Founder and Co-CEO of ArrAy. "Our customer realized it was getting dramatically better results from ArrAy's China operations than from its internal offshore team, and we structured a creative arrangement whereby ArrAy has absorbed the engineers into our workforce, provided them with our proven ArrAy Way methodology and tools, and assumed management responsibility for increased software engineering programs from the customer."
"The deal is a win-win-win all around," he concluded. "The customer has been able to easily dissolve its Shanghai-based development organization, ArrAy benefits from the rapid addition of talented engineers, and the engineers transfer to a high-growth company doing cutting-edge software engineering for product development companies worldwide."
